Hon. Prince Fatola Adesegun Mathew: A Royal Blood, Community Developer Who Wants To Represent His People In Igbogbo As A Councilor

As the coast for the 2025 Local Government Elections is gradually clearing, more aspirants have declared their intentions to vie for the Chairmanship and Councilorship positions, one of such is a Prince from Igbogbo, a community builder and grassroots mobiliser, Prince Fatola Adesegun Mathew who is aspiring to represent the people of Abosan Ward C1 as a councillor in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

Fatola, who has worked as a foot soldier and mobiliser to many elected office holders, is aspiring for the purpose of furthering the development of Igbogbo and improving his people’s welfare.

He has since notified his party and critical stakeholders in the community on his quest to provide grassroots’ oriented representation, and he is seeking the support of the party members and the general populace in lgbogbo, towards achieving his aspiration.

Who Is Prince Fatola Adesegun?:

“I am Prince Fatola Adesegun Mathew, an alumnus of the Lagos State Polytechnic (now Lagos State University of Science and Technology) where he bagged a National Diploma in Business Administration. Additionally, I am a trained printing press professional, a societal change advocate, and a social mobilizer.

“I was born in the early eighties to the Royal families of Prince Odunayo Fatola Oshinbokunren and Princess Karimot Awolesi Lasunwon, both renowned administrators, retired teachers, and astute community leaders with remarkable records.

“I am a native of Oshinbokunren compound, Itun-Nla, Igbogbo, and l was raised in Igbogbo. I received my early childhood education at UAMC (Eleja) Primary School and Zummuratul Islamiyyah Grammar School (ZIGS), Igbogbo, for my secondary education.

Work/Political Experience:

“I commenced my career in 2008, as a Classroom teacher, HR Haraf Global Link, and later as a local government Revenue officer until my voluntary resignation in 2022, to pursue my business career. Actively participating in Igbogbo’s politics since the inception of the current democratic journey, I have served as a grassroots foot-soldier, strategist, and social mobilizer”.

Political Philosophy:

“My involvement in politics is grounded in a deep belief in the continuous improvement of mankind. Through various experiences, I have concluded that the advancement of the people’s welfare, society, and humanity is the primary purpose of government and the hallmark of a public servant.

“I have consistently devoted myself to positively advancing humanity at every opportunity, considering it my modest contribution to societal change”.

“Igbogbo is my home, and I am deeply connected to it as an aborigine of the largest ward, Itun-Nla Ward C1. As a party faithful, my loyalty to our common cause and respect for party leaders, are unwavering.

“I belong to various groups in the town, including Achievers Crew, Itesiwaju Igbogbo Movement, Igbogbo Youth Coalition, Agarawu Youth Forum, Pioneer Chairman Meden Youth Forum, The Corporate Ambassadors Club, CIIDU, De Vanguard, and President of ZIGS’04 Elites Forum.
